As the path ascends steadily into the moorland zone, views open up toward the Kenyan plains. The trek passes First Cave and Kikelewa Camp before reaching the stunning Mawenzi Tarn Camp, nestling beneath the towering spire of Mawenzi Peak. The 7-day option incorporates a dedicated acclimatization excursion here, boosting your readiness for the summit.
Crossing the lunar landscape of the Alpine Saddle, you arrive at Kibo Hut (4,700m). The midnight summit push climbs toward Gilman’s Point (5,685m) before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m).
